Water Conservation Tips

Every year the Sierras are expected to receive plentiful supplies of snow and rain. Some years California is faced with a drier than expected winter. When it appears to be a dry winter TUD's water supplies become limited. There are many ways that you can conserve this precious resource.

Proposed Water Rate Plan for 2012

On December 13, the TUD Board of Directors rejected the draft water rate increase proposal. The Board has directed  TUD staff to prepare a revised water rate proposal in an effort to lower the original proposed water rate increase and the impact to TUD customers.  Management and finance staff are working diligently to prepare a revised proposal. 

Although this may be a difficult and challenging time for many, TUD takes its commitment to its community and rate payers very seriously. The District remains focused to responsibly manage District resources in order to provide our community with reliable, high quality water, wastewater and other utility services.Please check this website frequently for water rate proposal updates and opportunities for public input.  We appreciate your involvement in this critically important process.
