GibbsCapital Improvement Plan (CIP) for Water and Sewer

On November 17, 2015, as part of the Public Hearing, Rate Study, and adoption of water and sewer rates, the Board approved the Capital Improvement Plan (CIP) for water and sewer projects. The CIP is a “rolling document” with older projects dropping out of the plan and new projects being added each year. Urban Water Management Plan

The 2015 Urban Water Management Plan (Plan) has been prepared for Tuolumne Utilities District in compliance with Division 6, Part 2.6, of the California Water Code, Sections 10608 through 10657. The Plan includes requirements of Senate Bill SB X7-7 2009 creating an increased emphasis on water demand management and requires the State of California to achieve a 20 percent reduction in urban per capita water use by 31 December 2020.

Ditch System Sustainability Project

The Tuolumne Utilities District water distribution system provides the community multiple benefits beyond treated and raw water service to its customers. The ditches within the system in particular serve to remind the community of the rich history of the area, while providing recreational opportunities, wetland and water quality enhancement, wildlife habitat, and generally contribute to the unique quality of life Tuolumne County residents enjoy. The District is implementing the DSSP with the goal of developing a comprehensive plan for management of the ditch system that will allow its multiple values to be sustained.
